We are thrilled to announce that Joanne Friday will lead our 2015 annual weekend residential retreat, Friday, November 6 - Sunday, November 8, 2015. This dharma teacher of dharma teachers is a gifted story teller who brings the teachings alive via her own experience of the practice. You don't want to miss this retreat! SAVE THE DATE!
One of Thay's Monastics will be Here in June!
June 18 - 20, 2015, we are honored to host Br. Phap Vu, an American monk from Blue Cliff Monastery, Thich Nhat Hanh's monastery in New York state. He ordained in Thich Nhat Hanh's Plum Village tradition in 2003, and received the Dharma Lamp Transmission in 2011 from Thich Nhat Hanh, a ceremony designating him a Dharma Teacher. One of the first residential monastics at Blue Cliff, established in 2007, Brother Phap Vu has a strong and active involvement in building a monastic and lay community in the United States. He is well versed in both Buddhist history and Buddhist psychology. As the English translation of his name "True Dharma Rain" implies, he committed to sharing this knowledge and his practice.
